New York, NY/ February 3, 2016/ UltimateStockAlerts.com is a NASDAQ & NYSE Only Stock Alerts Service focused on day trading, swing trading and long-term investing. Today we are taking a look at four companies which we believe could provide investors with significant volatility in the near term.
Voltari Corporation (VLTC) was alerted to UltimateStockAlerts.com newsletter subscribers earlier today due to various bullish technical indicators that confirmed the increased probability of upside opportunity. The daily chart for VLTC indicated a potential triple bottom signified by an area of previously established support. The company has been fairly quiet as of late but a recent 10Q revealed that Voltari was conducting a real estate transaction recently in New Jersey. In August 2015, VLTC announced that it began implementing a transformation plan pursuant to which, among other things, the company intended to exit the mobile marketing and advertising business and enter into the business of acquiring, financing and leasing commercial real properties.
UltimateStockAlerts first alerted VLTC at 80 cents back in January, 2015 after which the company rallied to a high of $21.75 for gains of over 2,600%.
Eyegate Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (EYEG) has been another stock that many traders are watching early in the week. Shares of the specialty pharmaceutical company have rallied from an opening price on Monday of $1.80 to a high of $4.20 on Tuesday. The rally was sparked, in part due to Rodman & Renshaw initiating coverage on Eyegate and giving it a “buy” Rating.
On Tuesday, shares of EYEG opened near the day’s high and quickly sold off to close the day at $3.17, down 10% on the day. Traders should look for a short term bottom for confirmation of support given EYEG’s significant history of volatility.
We are closely monitoring EYEG for our newsletter subscribers and will alert them via email when EYEG presents a gain opportunity.
TimkenSteel Corporation (TMST) is down substantially year over year with shares trading at 7.81 as of yesterday’s close. Not even a year ago, TMST traded for more than $30 a share indicating a decline in market value of 73%. However, the steel manufacturer did have a solid outing during Tuesday’s trading session with shares closing up 6%. In addition, on the last trading day in January shares of Timken rose more than 72% after the company reported that performance was improving in a challenging market.
TMST seems to be consolidating after a strong move higher and could have even more upside in store if recent highs of $9.39 are broken on strong momentum. As such investors and traders should continue to monitor the company for potential trade opportunities.
Anavex Life Sciences Corp. (AVXL) closed Tuesday’s session at $4.27, up 10%. Shares traded as high as $4.90 before settling down. Shares of the biopharma stock have taken investors on a wild ride over the past year with shares trading for under a dollar in early 2015 before skyrocketing to almost $15 before settling at their current price.
AVXL rallied on Tuesday thanks in part to an announcement from the company that the company will be presenting at the 18th annual BIO CEO & Investor conference. AVXL is one stock to watch as positive announcements from the company have historically caused strong rallies.
