Tremor Video Inc (NYSE:TRMR) Brings New Programmatic Approach


Tremor Video Inc (NYSE:TRMR) disclosed on 17th march that it has hired a new sales director to manage and grow its sales operations on the west coast.  Monica SeeBohm has been brought in as a Senior Director and would be heading the sales program for the company’s video content division. Her focus would be to maximize the revenue potential of its Video revenue stream and will be rolling up into Greg Smith, who is the VP of Programmatic line of business. She will work of out the company’s Santa Monica Office.

Task Well Cut Out

Greg Smith while welcoming the new member on to his direct reporting team has been quoted to have said that, “I’m excited to announce that Monica has joined Tremor Video, marking the expansion of our programmatic sales team. Her experience across digital media and advertising technology make her the perfect person to accelerate our programmatic efforts on the West Coast.”

He went on to add that he has tasked Ms Seebohm with the goal of growing their existing customer relationships into a strategic level in order to better position their flag ship products. She will also be expected to work closely with the direct sales team which sells the Tremor Video products, in order to design and co-ordinate marketing activities which will provide a greater reach and return on their marketing investments. Ms Seebohm assumes the new role, from her previous stint as head of media sales at Pulse Point.

Build Strategic Relationships

The need to appoint a single point of contact to run their sales efforts in a programmatic manner, rather than allow the sales teams to take a shot gun approach was felt by Tremor Video Inc (NYSE:TRMR) due to the increasing pressure the company is facing in building long term relationships with its customers and seek repeat business form them, rather than go after net new customers, whose sales cycles are longer and more unpredictable.
