Democrats from Virginia are trying to keep the women’s issue at the center in the United States Senate and Presidential races with a new footage and series of programs conducting at this weekend. The Democrats party is seeking help from supporters to prove its Women’s Day of Action at 5 offices in the state.
Programs to Feature Timothy and Candidates from Senate
The programs would feature one of the candidates from Senate and Timothy M Kaine, a former governor would even support democrat’s new action supporting women’s health care and economic, according to the announcement made by officials. Timothy Kaine faces George Allen, a former governor from Republican Group in the battle takes over retiring Sen Jim Webb.
YouTube Footage to be Released Shortly
Virginia Democratic Party also announced that they would be releasing YouTube footage, showing series of women. They protested against Allen for his support of personhood lawsuit that would describe the life as start or opening at outset and for his restriction to Medial and Family Leave Act policies and the concept of equal pay.
One of the women in the video criticizes George Allen for his support for Fed personhood legislation that could strictly ban all the abortions with no reasons, but with some kind of contraception. Another woman adds that she doesn’t understand how could he be against women and men wanting to take care of their families?
Democrat’s Party supporters had cooked up similar theme on last Thursday along with Planned Parenthood Action Fund President, Cecile Richards during a conference phone call with media. Allen seeks to defund family care and health care providers, like parenthood and wants to allow people to decide whether women can get assurance for things as basic as cancer screenings and birth control or not.
Women More Concerned About Job Cuts than Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns!
George Allen and his team have said that women are more concerned about jobs and economy than the issues raised by Democrats. One of the representatives of Republican Party, who supports Allen, said that Democrats are simply highlighting the issue. Allen in his debate against Timothy Kaine, supported emerging breast cancer awareness, sporting a pink bow on his lapel, confessing that his mom is a breast cancer survivor.
Emily Davis, spokeswoman for Allen said that it is quite clear that Democrats call for women’s issues as political weapon to run their incapacity to hold a discussion on the economy and jobs. She said via e-mail that with 5million women unemployed and 300,000 losing their job, women deserve better solution than Democrats’ book that talks against Allen who has promised offer new jobs and improving women’s health care, and increasing breast cancer awareness.
